Edith Waddell is a freelance illustrator from Peru, actually based in Los Angeles. Once moved to USA in 2012 her interest towards art becomes evident and she decides to study at Otis College of Art and Design. After the graduation she starts exploring the nature and psychology by developing an unique artistic aesthetic. In her works we can notice how the artist is merging flowers with physiological human features. The color palette Edith is using is a vivid and playful one.
The dream is another key feature, as the artist enjoys to refigure often subjects dreamt into elements taken from nature. Her artistic language is very symbolic and figurative, dominated by hybrid creatures. Through her paintings Edith is leading the viewer into an introspective world and make him analyse the human physical and spiritual existence.
