Visual Atelier 8 is proud to be partnering with Studio Dumbar and Exterion Media for the upcoming Design in Motion (DEMO) Festival. November 7th will be a momentous occasion for the innovative echelon of motion design, with the bustle of Amsterdam Central Station as its performative esplanade. For 24 hours, DEMO Festival will monopolize all 80 digital screens occupying the station's platforms and public spaces to broadcast moving imagery - completely free of interruption from advertisements.

As the first large-scale exhibition to showcase such art, visualists from unknown status to well-established studios are all invited to submit their works for a chance to take part in such an epic event. There are criteria to be met found on DEMO's website in order for it to be considered for the exhibition, with a deadline approaching on June 30th. This festival offers a real appeal with its expressive discourse that constantly fluctuates, never repeating itself. The motion design is deliberately orchestrated across the screens with a special feature of a new program displaying each hour, developed by DEMO.

The curators running this experimental jamboree are Liza Enebeis, Studio Dumbar's creative director and DEMO's initiator, interdisciplinary designer Koos Breen, and Xavier Monney, graphic/motion designer.
