Joe Doucet's Sotera Helmet Can Actually Prevent Accidents
Named “the living blueprint for the 21st century designer” by Forbes magazine, Joe Doucet of Joe DoucetxPartners has delivered to us a motorcycle helmet from the Tron universe. The Sotera Advanced Helmet is equipped with a spontaneous intelligence, it contains accelerometers which change its usb declarable LED helmet light red when its driver breaks.
Design wise, the Sotera is composed of polycarbonate and synthetic fibre Kevlar for both strength and light weight, it has metal accented ear domes and a sparkling transparent windscreen to enhance its aesthetic allure. This smart technology has been left purposely unpatented so other manufactures can adapt its design in order to make motorcycle driving safer.
Seeing that motorcycle transportation has an 80% chance of injury or death compared to only 20% for passenger vehicles, Doucet took his love for people and is encouraging the dissemination of his idea. Doucet has won numerous international awards, and graduated from the Art Center of Design in Pasadena, California.
