Massive Attack has unveiled at the end of 2018 an anniversary tour Mezzanine XX1 , that starts on January 28 at The SSE Hydro, Glasgow. The music band had announced that the visuals for the tour will be curated and created by Adam Curtis. Curtis has been a regarded documentarian, having made educational movies about the convergence of psychology, philosophy and politics.

Filmmaker Adam Curtis will work closely to Massive Attack to provide visuals for the entire Mezzanine album. The artist describes the show as “the story of the strange journey we have all been on over the past twenty years since Mezzanine was released. How we have moved into a strange backward-looking world, enclosed by machines that read our data and predict our every move, haunted by ghosts from the past.”

This will be the second time the music band collaborates with the video essayist. In 2013 they have curated together Massive Attack V Adam Curtis festival.
