Khalid Releases The Second Album Titled "Free Spirit"

Two years after the release of his debut project, American Teen, singer Khalid has launched the long-awaited Free Spirit. The new album is a 17-track collection, that includes the previously released singles “My Bad,” “Talk,” and “Safe,” as well as “Better” and “Saturday Nights.” Free Spirit was formally announced back in February and sees contributions from big names like John Mayer, Disclosure, SAFE, and more.

In a recent interview on Beats 1, Khalid told Zane Lowe, “I wrote American Teen at 17 years old. Now I get to release this at 20-21, so it’s a completely different mind frame.” Khalid also stated in a press release, “This album is the culmination of all of the growth and experiences I have gathered over the past two remarkable years. I have been in the studio pouring my soul and spirit to create a body of work that I hope speaks to each and every one of you.”
