Futuristic, visionary and smashing are fundamental words to describe the photography of Alvaro Villarrubia. Born in 1964 in Madrid, son of a publicist and amateur photographer, Villarubia decides to follow the photography path. He began working at the time of the Rockola room with Tino Casal, Alaska and other figures of Madrid scene. For his portraits and bold compositions, uses heavy makeup, hairpieces, unexpected scenery and accessories to transform models into creatures of fantasy worlds. In 2002 he releases his book Crush, which collects his works.
